Kacapi Suling

Kacapi suling is another Sundanese public show consisting of 2 kacapi (Sunanese harp), the main one and its clauses and a suling (a diatonic flute) composing traditional song called kawih. Kacapi suling in term of tembang composition divided into two categories: pasieup (giving core rhythm and its variants) and kemprangan (melody which is depended to tempo and rhythm). Meanwhile kacapi kawih consists of gendangan (played as a drum) and melody. The rhythm divided into irama lalamba (slow tempo), irama sawilet (simple combination), dua wilet (complex combination), and irama kering (rush tempo). (Padjadjaran University)
