Rampak Kendang

(Rampak = Choir, Kendang = A drum which is covered by processed leather on both of its ends). “Kendang” plays a very important role in the Sundanese gamelan orchestra. This instrument is also uses to accompany various dances.
“Rampak Kendang” is a modified performance of Sundanese music. In this performance, the Kendangs are hit together in beautiful rhythm “Rampak Kendang” was first developed by Drs. Gugum Gumbira. [Padjadjaran University]
