It is Sundanese orchestra which its instrument is made from bronze or iron, consist of bonang (bronze-made minor xylophone), cempres (cymbals), jenglong (bronze-made minor xylophone), kendang (Sundanese leather drum), Suling (diatonic flute) and goong (large standing xylophone), Firstly it only played by male, but since 1958 it has been added a singer or a choir composition and has not been only played by male anymore. As a singer entered, R.A Darya added up gambang (palt-shape iron xylophone) and rebab (Sundanese minor cello). Degung composition which are always played: Celeng, Mogok, Beber Layar, Bima Mobos, Galatik Ngungguk, Kuntuk Bueuk, Lalayaran, Minintin, Palwa, Ujung Lautan etc. [Padjadjaran University]
