Badaya dance is one of a dance played during wayang show. Badaya is taken from an official position in wayang scenario besides other positions such as ponggawa (soldier), satria (knight) etc. The dance is presented by female dancer who dances entertaining the king or on welcoming honorable guests. Nowadays it can be played on ordinary public as an open stage. Badaya is adopted from a Javanese dance which is so called Bedoyo. In Parahyangan (West Java Area) it is called Badaya.
